The dual function is worth noting in and of itself, getting you water that you need while mitigating a storm's effects at the same time. Kudos for being a participant; you are certainly helping promote a good practice here. Everyone should get rainwater tanks, if they are to withstand the pressures of weather and climate today.

Bert Aguilar @ Rainfill Tanks Bert Aguilarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10498762516139895231noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4374429434678247364.post-4817876619340743072015-05-21T20:24:07.930-07:002015-05-21T20:24:07.930-07:00Thanks Sharon! I plan to get a couple more for other downspouts.Bianca shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01421915590922478790noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4374429434678247364.post-3377910971646445292015-05-21T20:20:10.155-07:002015-05-21T20:20:10.155-07:00The rain barrel cover has been working great so fa...The rain barrel cover has been working great so far! There are tiny holes drilled in the top rim of the barrel, so I have had no issues with water settling. The barrel is in the sun, so am standing water quickly evaporates! It's good that you're now aware of an alternative way to collect water to use for your personal garden. Anyway, I love the way you covered your rain barrel up. It looks great, Bianca. Thanks for sharing that! Kudos and all the best to you! :)

Sharon Strock @ StormChamberSharonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13553455121256455327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4374429434678247364.post-79881956640436533892015-05-06T12:17:53.219-07:002015-05-06T12:17:53.219-07:00So clever! Once I figured out a permanently shaded spot for the water, algae was not a problem any more. So I think it's being out of sunlight that matters, not exactly how you manage thatKatej841https://www.blogger.com/profile/17765511555297368585noreply@blogger.com
